From his roots in small-town southeast Nebraska, Tan Boe has cultivated a multidisciplinary art practice now based in Northern Colorado. With a background in design and diverse career experiences that include being a creative director for startups, an art director in ad agencies, and an adjunct college instructor, Boe has always returned to his love for hands-on making.

Currently pursuing graduate studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Boe's work delves into the potential and unconventional adaptability of "humble materials"—those everyday elements often overlooked or disregarded. Through his art, he invites viewers to reconsider the inherent value and transformative possibilities within these materials.
